Project Of Giving

At Acropolis Funeral Services, our Project of Giving reflects our commitment to supporting the Sydney community beyond the funeral services we provide. As a proudly family-owned and independent Sydney funeral home, we believe in giving back to the communities and families who have supported us throughout the years. Through charitable donations, fundraising initiatives, community partnerships and direct support for local organisations, Acropolis Funeral Services actively contributes to causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. From supporting families in need to raising funds for important charities and community organisations, our Project of Giving is an ongoing commitment to compassion, generosity and community support. We are proud to give back to Sydney and continue making a positive difference beyond the funeral home.

Giving Back Is Woven Into Everything We Do

At Acropolis Funeral Services, our Project of Giving represents our ongoing commitment to supporting families, charities and communities across Sydney beyond the funeral services we provide. As a proudly family-owned and independent Sydney funeral home, we believe that caring for people extends beyond the funeral itself, which is why we actively contribute to charitable organisations, community initiatives, fundraising campaigns and local causes that make a meaningful difference. Through the Acropolis Project of Giving, we proudly support a wide range of charities and community organisations across Sydney, helping raise funds, provide essential support and give back to the communities we have served for more than 25 years.

Our commitment to community giving in Sydney is an important part of who we are as a family-owned funeral home. Throughout the years, Acropolis Funeral Services has contributed to fundraising events, charitable appeals, community programs and organisations supporting families, children, healthcare, homelessness and those facing difficult circumstances. Whether through direct donations, fundraising initiatives, sponsorships or community partnerships, our Project of Giving allows us to continue supporting important causes and making a positive difference throughout the Sydney community.

Through our Project of Giving, Acropolis Funeral Services continues to demonstrate that our commitment to families extends well beyond providing funeral services in Sydney. We are proud to give back to the community that has trusted our family for generations and remain committed to supporting charities and causes that create lasting positive change. Our ongoing charitable giving reflects the same values of compassion, generosity, dignity and community care that guide everything we do, reinforcing our position as a trusted family-owned funeral home in Sydney dedicated to serving not only families during times of loss, but the wider community throughout the year.

"Wings Of Hope" Painting

$5,500 Donated

Last month, the owners of Acropolis Funeral Services- the Kiriazis family, attended a VIP art event, where an incredible art piece from the ‘rock star of the art world’ Michael Godard was auctioned off.

This art piece is called ‘Wings of Hope’ and is part of a collection near and dear to Godard. This piece symbolises the fight against cancer with every colour of the cancer ribbons represented in the art piece.

Usually, a portion of the proceeds for these works go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For this special auction however, it was announced that 100% of the proceeds of this piece would go directly to the hospital.

Located in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centre, solely dedicated to the treatment and research of catastrophic paediatric diseases like cancer, blood disorders, and neurological conditions- providing this care at no cost to their families.

After learning about the inspiration behind ‘Wings of Hope’ and Michael Godard’s own personal experience with loss, we knew we couldn’t let the opportunity pass. We were honoured to purchase this piece, knowing that our contribution would support such an incredible cause.

Today, ‘Wings of Hope’ is proudly displayed in the foyer of Acropolis Funeral Services, Earlwood. It serves as a reminder that no one faces cancer alone. Almost every one of us has been touched by this disease in some way, whether personally or through someone we love. We hope this artwork stands as a symbol of hope, strength, and resilience for all who see it.
