Spotlight on Staff- Introducing Georgia Paschalidis

Paris.  Within one of the world’s most romantic cities, there is a landmark, visited by over 7 million people every year.  A landmark scraping the sky, shy of 1,100 meters tall, the Eiffel Tower is the epitome of romance in the heart of the city.  From the bottom, to the top observatory deck of the tower, visitors enjoy a breathtaking 8 minute elevator ride; showcasing the stunning French capital, as one ascends higher and higher.  Certainly an experience never to be forgotten, a once in a lifetime experience.  When asked during her interview, what was the experience like for you?  The answer was as to be expected- the description fitting as others portray, ‘amazing’, ‘absolutely beautiful’.  ‘We’re in Paris!’ she excitedly exclaimed to her partner Jim that day, when they reached the top of the world, in France, in 2018.

Introducing Georgia Paschalidis of Acropolis Funeral Services.  Since 2007, she has served the business, and busily engages with many facets of her role on a daily basis including Administration, Public Relations and Funeral Arrangements.  Even though Georgia is passionate about her role, within the business, she stated that there are challenges; however there is nothing more rewarding when they’re accomplished successfully.  Georgia loves serving people and being there for them, at their time of need.

In her spare time, Georgia loves to entertain family and friends, by cooking for them, and hosting dinner parties- together with her partner.  Even though it’s healthy and nutritious, Georgia despises Kale, but adores any type of seafood, and the ribs, perfectly served at Hurricane’s Grill, located at Brighton Le Sands.

After a busy day, Georgia loves to watch Netflix and her favourite movie is the 1990 romance/comedy classic Pretty Woman.

Prior to working at Acropolis Funerals, Georgia worked as a Beauty Advisor for Estee Lauder, at Sydney International Airport’s Down Town Duty Free for over a decade.  After which she lived abroad in Greece for 12 months, prior to returning back to Sydney.  Georgia loves coffee, Greek music and the invaluable company of friends.  A favourite hobby is shopping, and the exciting reality of retiring- one day…

Georgia has the proven ability to multi task, within a business and industry where there are no set business hours parameters.  Meaning; Georgia is accustomed to assisting families- with funeral arrangements at any time of the day, accommodating their needs and requests for loved ones’ funerals.  Georgia stated- the role has deadlines.  Tight time schedules regarding completing all necessary tasks in and effective and efficient manner.  This is something Georgia is accustomed in accomplishing, to ensure every request is executed perfectly, in respect to delivering memorable funerals for the clients engaging in the business and reputable brand.

Georgia stated further there are no two days alike.  Every request is unique, as are the beautiful and individual families Georgia serves.  Indeed committed and passionate, Georgia thoroughly loves and enjoys what she does.  Her career is equally as passionate as her love is for travelling.  Georgia has visited Hong Kong, Thailand, New Zealand, Greece and many cities across Australia.  Vincentia, on the South Coast of New South Wales is a getaway Jim and Georgia love to escape to.  She has also visited New York City and Hawaii- and definitely plans to travel more; especially when the retirement Georgia referred to earlier, comes to fruition.

But until then, you’ll find Georgia serving families and performing Administrative and Public Relation duties- at Acropolis Funeral Services.  A place she has proudly called home for almost 15 years…
